A Message from the CEO of Nerjyzed Entertainment

Whether you are a fan of video games or not, chances are your children or young people you know play them. Unfortunately, the prevailing imagery of African-Americans in the majority of video games on the shelves today does not promote positive images nor does it educate. In fact, the disturbing images of violence and other criminal activities have a lasting impression and sometimes a negative impact on the gamer who’s playing them. As Chairwoman and CEO of Nerjyzed Entertainment, Inc., I am committed to developing games where positive images and experiences of the African-American community prevail.

I am writing this letter to thank supporters of the Black College Football Xperience (BCFx): The Doug Williams Edition and to let each and every one of you know how important your support is to me as well as the entire Nerjyzed organization. I assure you that your support is not taken lightly. We recently announced that we obtained Gold Certification for BCFx from Microsoft. This is a major and historic accomplishment; because achieving this certification makes Nerjyzed the FIRST African-American owned development studio to receive Gold Certification for the Xbox 360. The journey to this point has been long and challenging and I certainly recognize this is what comes with paving the way and being a pioneer.

Many of you are aware that BCFx: The Doug Williams Edition has been delayed several times. Our progress in getting the product shipped to stores so that you, the consumer, can enjoy it has been impacted by many obstacles beyond our control. I know this has been disappointing for many of you and this has not gone unnoticed by me nor the entire team and shareholders of Nerjyzed Entertainment. We are too committed to our supporters and too proud of BCFx to allow those delays to stop us from getting the product to you, our loyal fans.

I am aware that there are many excited fans eager to receive their pre-ordered copy and I am equally anxious to get BCFx: The Doug Williams Edition into the retail outlets and into your hands. So with great excitement and thrill I am personally announcing the official release date for the Doug Williams Edition of BCFx is September 29, 2009!

But please know that the journey is just beginning. Just as we’ve all come to the understanding of the importance of the first weekend sales of a movie release within the movie industry, the same is true within the video game industry. Each of you can help make our release weekend a success by purchasing your copy. You will be able to purchase BCFx: The Doug Williams Edition in stores from GameStop, Wal-Mart, BestBuy, Fry’s Electronic, and on-line through Amazon.com.

Together we can show the video game industry that we are worthy of games that teach and communicate positive messages and images reflecting the African-American culture. The unfortunate truth is that nothing speaks louder than sales figures. Until the game is released on September 29, 2009, please continue to spread the word to others to pre-order the game at GameStop stores and on-line through GameStop.com or Amazon.com.

Being the first is never an easy feat, but crossing the bridge will enable us to open doors for many more. Thank you so much for your support and I look forward to seeing you in the stores!
